Why Every Step Matters in Your Entrepreneurial Journey
The holiday season is the perfect time to pause, reflect, and celebrate the progress we’ve made. It’s easy to get caught up in the big goals we’re chasing, but sometimes, it’s the smaller steps—the ones that feel almost insignificant—that create the most impact over time.
A year ago, I made a decision to start building my personal brand and my 3rd business from scratch. I committed to showing up daily, even when I wasn’t sure where it would lead. Starting out on LinkedIn, I posted every day, hoping my message would resonate.
Fast forward one year, and I can’t believe the transformation.
- I’ve shared 365 LinkedIn posts.
- Delivered 12 live masterclasses.
- Sent 50+ newsletters to my Inbox Club.
- Created 10+ free guides or cheatsheets.
- Worked with 500+ leads and 100+ clients.
- Published 38 blog articles on entrepreneurship.
- Built a network of 10,000 ambitious women in tech.
- Sparked thousands of conversations and DMs with my audience.
None of this happened overnight.
Every achievement came from taking small, consistent steps. Today, I want to celebrate not just those wins but the process of getting there—because that’s where the magic truly lies.
The Power of Starting Small
When I think back to the beginning of this journey, one memory stands out: the day I posted my very first LinkedIn update. I had no followers, no traction, and no idea what would happen. All I had was a message I believed in and the courage to hit “post.”
That one small step led to everything that followed.
For anyone considering a big leap—whether it’s launching a tech business, starting a side project, or sharing your voice online—it’s easy to feel paralyzed by the scope of what lies ahead. But every major achievement starts the same way: with one action.
Maybe it’s brainstorming a business idea on a notepad or having your first conversation with a potential customer. Maybe it’s drafting your first social media post or registering a domain name.
The step itself doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be taken.
When I posted that first update, I wasn’t thinking about growing a network of 10,000 women or hosting masterclasses for hundreds of attendees. I was focused on starting. And because I started, I kept going.
No matter where you are in your journey, remember this: starting small is how all big things begin.
Why Small Wins Matter
The first big validation of my efforts came from an unexpected place: a direct message.
It was from someone I didn’t know personally—a woman in tech who had read one of my LinkedIn posts. She told me how my message resonated with her, how it gave her clarity and hope as she considered her next steps.
That single message was everything I needed to keep going.
It wasn’t the number of likes on a post or the size of my network that kept me motivated—it was the knowledge that my work was helping someone.
Soon, those messages became more frequent. Emails and DMs started pouring in from women sharing their stories, asking questions, and thanking me for the value I was creating through my posts, masterclasses, live sessions, and resources.
Those moments became my fuel. 🔥
Small wins matter because they remind us why we started. They provide proof that our efforts, no matter how incremental, are making an impact.
Entrepreneurship is a long and sometimes lonely road. There will be days when progress feels invisible and motivation is hard to muster. But small wins—whether it’s a kind message, your first email subscriber, or even the act of completing a task—are what keep us moving forward.
If you’re feeling stuck or unsure of where to begin, look for the small wins around you. Celebrate them, no matter how tiny they seem. They’re the breadcrumbs leading you toward something bigger.
Gratitude and Vision for the Future
As I reflect on the past year, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
I’m grateful for the network of women who have trusted me to guide them on their entrepreneurial journeys. I’m grateful for the clients who shared their dreams, the attendees who showed up to my masterclasses, and the connections who believed in my message enough to engage with it.
Each of these moments—these small wins—has created a foundation for what’s ahead.
In Q1 2025, I’ll be stepping away briefly for maternity leave, which is both exciting and nerve-wracking.
But because of the systems, content, and community I’ve built over the past year, I feel confident that my business will not just sustain itself but continue to thrive during my absence.
This journey has taught me that when you invest in consistent progress, you’re not just building for today—you’re building for the future.
To anyone reading this, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on your own wins and the things you’re grateful for. Even if you’re just starting out, there’s always something to celebrate.
Your small steps today are the seeds of future achievements.
Celebrate, Reflect, and Look Ahead
As we close out the year, let’s remember to celebrate the progress we’ve made, no matter how small it feels. Each step matters. Each win is a building block.
For me, this year has been one of growth, connection, and impact. It’s proof that even starting from scratch, you can create something meaningful with time and dedication.
As you reflect on your journey and set intentions for the year ahead, I wish you a season filled with gratitude, hope, and the courage to take your next step—however small it may be.
Here’s to celebrating our wins and creating even more in the year to come. Happy holidays!
